Moyers Chert is associated with the Moyers Formation of Oklahoma occurring as up to 3 inch thick beds and lenses 1 to 2 inches thick.  Primary exposures occur near Moyers in the western Ouachita Mountains, Oklahoma and the lower slopes of the Boktukola Mountain and the east side of the Boktukola syncline.
