Jackfork Chert is associated with the Jackfork Formation of Oklahoma, occurring as highly fractured beds.  Formation is present win the Ouachita Mountains of west central Arkansas and southeastern to south central Oklahoma.  Chert outcroppings primarily occur in the southern exposers of the formation.  Exposures occur around Prairie Mountain and Jackfork Mountain in Pittsburg and Pushmataha counties Oklahoma and near Redden, Choctaw County,
