Fat Rock Quartz is associated with the Little Falls formation of central Minnesota.  Primary outcroppings occur near Blanchard Dam on Little Falls, Morrison County, Minnesota and along Little Elk River in Morrison County.   Found as cobbles around Fort Ripley, Crow Wing County, Minnesota.  This is a local and abundant material.
