Creek Chert is variegated or banded and ranges from shades of very light
grays to light bluish gray or yellowish brown.
Texture: Fine grain
Luster: Waxy to slightly glossy

bryzoa fronds, and fusulinidas

Falls Creek Chert is associated with the Jeffersonville Limestone
formation of Indiana and Ohio. Primary outcroppings are located in Hamilton County and into
Madison County, Indiana.
