Distribution Comments:
Dry Head Agate is associated with the Phosphoria Formation of
southern Montana and northern Wyoming. Primary outcroppings occur along Dry Head Creek and along
the Big Horn River, Dead Indian Hill, and East Pryor Mountain in Big Horn
and Carbon counties, Montana and the northern Bighorn Basin in Wyoming.
