Cochrane Chert is associated the Cochrane Member of the Chimneyhill Formation, Hunton Group of Oklahoma.  Primarily occurs as lenses and nodules on the Lawrence Uplift extending to old Hunton town site and south of Wapanucka and eastern Cater County, Oklahoma.
