Cerro del Medio Obsidian is associated with the Valles Volcanics, Valles
Rhyolite Formation as marekanites / nodules (up to 40 mm) with primary
sources around Cerro del Medio and secondary sources extending along San
Antonio Creek and East Jemez River as well as the canyons eroding from
the caldera rim in the Jemez Mountains, New Mexico.
