Cave Springs Obsidian occurs as an outcroppings around Cave Springs near Red Mountain in the Silver Peaks Range, Esmeralda County, Nevada.  This was thought to be the source for the Silverpeak Obsidian, but this outcroppings is a much lower quality obsidian and is geochemically different than Silverpeak Obsidian.
