Calvert Silicified Sandstone is associated with Calvert Formation, Chesapeake Group of Maryland, Virginia, and Delaware.  Occurs as layers or plates, internal molds of mollusks, or lumps of dense shell lag with outcroppings occurring's at the mouth of the Choptank River, along the Wye River, and from the Chesapeake Bay to Drum Point on both sides of the Bay.
