Distribution Comments:

Atoka Argillite is associated with the Atoka formation of northern Arkansas, southern Missouri, northeastern Oklahoma, and into Kansas.  Primary outcroppings are found in the southwestern Ozark mountains.  Found along Lee Creek in Crawford County, Arkansas.  Other outcroppings occur in Wagoner and Mayes Counties, Oklahoma
