Description of Physical Characteristics and Flaking Pattern:
This is a medium to large triangular basal notched point with an elliptical cross section. The blade is excurvate with the basal and mis section being almost parallel and the blade abruptly curving inward towards the upper portion of the blade. The shoulders are strongly barbed with the stem ranging from slightly expanding to parallel. The base ranges from straight to slightly convex with basal thinning being present. Each face is manufactured with broad shallow percussion flaking. Re-sharpening of the point leaves smaller flakes along the blade edges.
