This is a small triangular projectile point with a thin elliptical cross section. The blade is primarily excurvate with a convex bas and rounded basal corners. This
point is crudely made and has a random flaking pattern.

Hranicky reports this type in the Piedmont and coastal regions of Virginia and into North Carolina. Overstreet reports this type in the upper Tennessee River valley of Tennessee and into Kentucky.

Powell (1990) suggest that this point represent the transition between the older Suwannee point and the newer Greenbrier point.
This point is distinguishable from the Suwannee type by the lack of any basal thinning and the beveled edge that are seen on this type (Farr, 2006).

the Archaeological Society of Virginia’s Avocational award in 1989. He has published numerous personal books and articles. This point
was named in his personally published book with most references to this type being in other books he published. There are no professional references to this type, but there are limited collector type
references. This is considered a collector type.
