Description of Physical Characteristics and Flaking Pattern:
This is a thin medium to large triangular point with a thin plano convex
cross section. The blade is primarily excurvate with rounded
shoulders that are an upward angle. The stem ranges from parallel
to contracting with a
concave base. This point is made from a flake with percussion
flaking used only one face leaving the other face smooth. Fine
pressure flaking is used along all edges leaving flaking short flaking
scars on both faces. This point has a random flaking pattern.
Size Measurements: Length - 48 to 60 mm, Stem Length - 12 to 19 mm, Blade Width -
25 to 36 mm (average 24 mm), Basal Stem Width - 19 to 34 mm, Neck
Width - 18 to 28 mm, Notch Width - 7 to 13 mm, Thickness - 7 to 11 mm (average
10 mm)

This point was reported at the Taye Lake site and the Gladstone site in
Yukon. May be found throughout southwestern Yukon and into Alaska
and British Columbia.

anthropologist who was most notable for his excavations and studies at Tamaulipas Mexico.
He conducted extensive excavations throughout Texas and northwestern Canada. This type has been references in professional publications, but few
samples were recovered. More samples and details are needed.
