Description of Physical Characteristics and Flaking Pattern:
This is a thick broad small (1 to 2.25 inches) ovoid
shaped point with a thick elliptical cross section. The blade is excurvate with a convex base giving the point a leaf appearance. This point has a random flaking pattern and commonly has poor
workmanship.
Size Measurements: Total Length - 23 to
60 mm (average 40 to 50 mm), Width - 10 to 25 mm (average 15 to 20
mm), Thickness - 4 to 12 mm

This point is primarily found in the Tampa region, but may be found into northern Florida, southern Georgia and southern Alabama with decreased frequency.

This point is similar to the Nodena point, but this point is broader, cruder, and thicker than the Nodena point. It is thought that some points types as this point may be preforms for Ichetucknee,
Guntersville, or Leon type points (Granger and Granger 2013).
Goggin discusses these point which he refers to as Southern Timucua point
after the associated Timucua culture of Florida (1953:11)

Age Details:
Bullen (1975), states that these points were used during the Safety Harbor -
Alachua period and extended into the Spanish Mission period into the 17th
centry.
