This is a thin medium to large lanceolate shaped stemmed point with a flattened cross section.  The blade is primarily excurvate and is commonly long and narrow.  The shoulders are weak to absent and vary from horizontal to having an upward angle.  The stem is straight and commonly has basal ears at the base of the stem.  The base may vary from straight to concave.  The stem is commonly heavily ground, but many examples lack any basal grinding.  The flaking pattern may range from collateral to random pattern.

Additional Comments:

These points have been compared to the Cody Complex points found further west.  However, these points tend to lack any of the early parallel oblique flaking patterns typical of Cody Complex points and primarily have collateral pattern flaking (Justice, 1987).

These points are similar to the Eden Eared points found in Wisconsin.
