Description of Physical Characteristics and Flaking Pattern:

This is a medium to large triangular stemmed point with an elliptical cross section.  The blade is primarily excurvate, but may vary to almost straight.  The shoulders are at an upward angle.  The stem is straight with a straight to convex base.  The base may be asymmetrical.  This point has a random flaking pattern.

This point is primarily found on the Chukotski Peninsula of Siberia, Russia, St. Lawrence Island and into the Seward Peninsula and surrounding western coastal region of Alaska in regions associated with the Siberian Yupik culture.
