Description of Physical Characteristics and Flaking Pattern:

This is a medium to large triangular stemmed to expanding stem point with an elliptical cross section.  The blade is broad and excurvate.  The shoulders are slightly barbed.  The stem varies from straight to slightly expanding with a concave base.  The basal corners are slightly rounded.  This point has a random flaking pattern.

This point is primarily found in northern Florida and into southern Georgia and southern Alabama.

Dowdy and Stowell report this is a regional variant of the Savannah River point.  This variant has rounder basal corners and are slightly barbed.
