Description of Physical Characteristics and Flaking Pattern:

This is a medium triangular to ovoid point with an elliptical cross section.  The blade ranges from straight to slightly excurvate.  The base is steeply convex with a rounded smooth transition from the blade to the base.  This point has a random flaking pattern.

Size Measurements:  Length - 23 to 50 mm (average 43 mm),  Blade Width - 16 to 27 mm (average 20 mm), Thickness - 2 to 9 mm (average 6 mm)

These point were found in association with site from the Llano Grande, Loma San Gabriel, and Guadiana Chalchihuites cultures. the cultural regions of Chihuahua, Durango, Sonora, Sinloa, Nayarit, Zacatecas, San Luis Potosi, Jalisco, and Aguascalientes Mexico.

The Los Banos Round Base and San Antonio Round Base have similar characteristics   However, the Los Banos Round Base is broader with sharper basal corners while the San Antonio Round Base is narrower and has a smoother transition between the blade and the base (Spence, 1971).
