Description of Physical Characteristics and Flaking Pattern:

This is a medium triangular corner notch point with a thin elliptical cross section.  The blade is excurvate.  Deep notches enter the corner of the preform forming a shoulder that ranges from slightly barbed to horizontal.  The stem is expanding with a convex base.  This point commonly has a high degree of workmanship with a random flaking pattern.

Size Measurements:   Length - 25 to 40 mm (average 32 mm),  Blade Width - 16 to 24 mm (average 20 mm), Thickness - 3 to 5 mm (average 4 mm)

These point were found in association with site from the Llano Grande, Loma San Gabriel, and Guadiana Chalchihuites cultures. the cultural regions of Chihuahua, Durango, Sonora, Sinloa, Nayarit, Zacatecas, San Luis Potosi, Jalisco, and Aguascalientes Mexico.
