Description of Physical Characteristics and Flaking Pattern:
This is a thin medium triangular basal notch point with a thin elliptical cross section. The blade may vary from excurvate to recurvate. Examples with recurvate blades
constrict in towards the tip forming a thin needle like tip. Shoulders are strongly barbed and often extends to the base of the point. Shoulder terminations are often sharp. The stem may
vary from slightly expanding to expanding. The base ranges from straight to slightly convex and commonly has sharp basal corners. This point is well made and has a random flaking pattern.
Size Measurement: Total Length - 45 to 75 mm,
Stem Length - 8 to 10 mm, Blade Width - 28 to 38 mm,

Smith and Hodges excavated the Hodges Site in 1960. No field notes have been located, but the findings were published in 1968 in the Tennessee Archaeologist publication. No
other professional preferences to this type were located. There are many collector type references to this type. This is considered a collector type.
