Description of Physical Characteristics and Flaking Pattern:

This is a broad medium ovoid to triangular point with an elliptical cross section.  The blade ranges from straight to slightly excurvate.  The base is convex with defined basal corners.  The widest portion of the blade is at the convergence of the blade and the base.  This point has a random flaking pattern.

Size Measurements:  Length - 38 to 45 mm (average 42 mm),  Blade Width - 22 to 26 mm (average 24 mm), Thickness - 6 to 10 mm (average 8 mm)   ***Based on small sample size***

This point are found in association with Loma Cultural sites of Chihuahua, Durango, Zacatecas, San Luis Potosi, Jalisco, and Aguascalientes Mexico.

Additional Comments:

The Los Banos Round Base and San Antonio Round Base have similar characteristics   However, the Los Banos Round Base is broader with sharper basal corners while the San Antonio Round Base is narrower and has a smoother transition between the blade and the base (Spence, 1971).
