This is a broad medium auriculate lanceolate point with a flattened cross section. The blade is
primarily excurvate and commonly has light beveling on one or both edges and / or serrations. The hafting area has auricles, with one auricle or shoulder more
pronounced than the other. The base may range from straight to slightly concave and has basal thinning and hafting region grinding. This point is made with broad shallow percussion flaking and
finished deeper secondary pressure flaking forming a random flaking pattern.
Size Measurements: Total Length - 28 to 69 mm (47 mm average), Base Width - 25 mm average, Thickness - 7 mm average
This point is found through out the Tennessee River Valley.
