Reeves was a distinguished anthropologist who conducted extensive studies into the Head Smashed Insite as well as many other sites throughout Alberta.  This point was definite in a professional publication.  This type has been mentioned in many professional publications, but has fell out of usage.  This point is considered a valid type.

Description of Physical Characteristics and Flaking Pattern:
This is a small triangular corner notch point with a thin cross section.  The blades range from very slightly excurvate to straight.  The shoulders vary from horizontal to very slightly barbed.  The stem is expanding and commonly narrower than the blade.  The base ranges from straight to slightly concave.  This point has a random flaking pattern.
