Description of Physical Characteristics and Flaking Pattern:
This is a thin medium pentagonal point with a thin elliptical to flattened cross section.  From the tip to the hafting region the blade is straight with the hafting region of the blade angling towards the base at a slightly contraction giving the point a pentagonal shape.  The base ranges from straight to slightly concave.  Some examples have been fluted.  This point has a random flaking pattern.

This point is often confused with the Woodland point, Jack's Reef Pentagonal or Pee Dee. This point is an older point which was found in the Paleo strata at Cactus Hill site. This points most notable characteristics is a thin pentagonal shape.
