This type is primarily found in the Davis Mountains, northern Lobo Valley, Salt Basin, Sierra Diablo, Delaware Mountains, and Guadalupe Mountains. Less frequently they are found in the Davis Mountains in the Big Bend area of Texas and into Chinati Mountains and Midland County They have been reported into the Guadalupe Mountains north to the Capitan Mountains in New Mexico and into Mexico.
