MacNeish was a pioneering anthropologist who was most notable for his excavations and studies at Tamaulipas Mexico.  He conducted extensive excavations throughout Texas and northwestern Canada.  This type has been references in professional publications and has many professional references. This is considered a provisional type.

Description of Physical Characteristics and Flaking Pattern:
This is a medium triangular stemmed point with an elliptical cross section.  Most of the blade was missing on the example that MacNeish used to describe this type.  The stem is straight with a straight base giving the stem a rectangular appearance, basal and hafting region grinding is present on this type.  This point has a random flaking pattern.

This type was reported at the Gladestone and Taye Lake site in the Yukon.  It is primarily reported in northwestern Yukon and into Alaska and British Columbia.  Full distribution is not known.
