Mark Plew is a distinguished Professor Emeritus, Department of Anthropology, University of Boise State. This type was identified in a professional publication, but as he noted, this type would better be included in the Rosegate type and should be discontinued.

Description of Physical Characteristics and Flaking Pattern:
This is a small triangular side notch point with a flattened to narrow elliptical cross section. The blade is commonly thin and broad giving a "squatty" appearance, and may vary from slightly excurvate to straight. The shoulders may vary from horizontal to having an upward angle. Parallel notches enter the low on the blade and are generally not well defined which form stem that ranges from straight to only slightly expanding with a straight base. This point is formed using pressure / percussion flaking forming a random flaking pattern.

Plew's personal communications with Baughman noted that at the time this point was identified there was a great push to name regional variation of broader types. He feels that this type falls into the Rosegate type and should be discontinued.
