Comment: This type was first described by Richard Holmer and Dennis Weder in 1980. This point was named by Jennings and Sammons-Lohse in the paper "Bull Creek" (1981) University of Utah Anthropological Papers, 105 Pg. 111-136
Point Validity: Valid type
Jennings was a renowned anthropologist and professor at the University of Utah.  He was considered a foremost expert on Great Basin anthropology.  Sammons received a M.A. in Anthropology from University of Utah where she was part of many studies with Dr. Jennings.  She continued her education receiving a Ph. D. in American Studies and Ed. D. in Educational Leadership.  This type was named in a professional publication and has many professional references.  This is considered a valid type.

Description of Physical Characteristics and Flaking Pattern:
This is a narrow small to medium isosceles triangular point with a flattened cross section.  The blade is most commonly straight, but may vary to slightly excurvate.  Many examples have a serrated blade.  The base may vary from slightly to deeply concave.  The concave may form basal ears that range from rounded to sharp.  This point has a random flaking pattern.

Total Length:  17 to 54 mm (average 23 to 34 mm),  Basal Width - 7 to 21 mm,  Thickness - 3 to 5 mm

This point is found in the Colorado River Valley and associated drainages including the Green River.  This point is found throughout the Kayenta cultural regions of Arizona and New Mexico.
