Description of Physical Characteristics and Flaking Pattern:
This is a medium to large (2.5 to 4 inches) triangular point with an expanding stem. The blade is primarily excurvate with the blade ranging from having a constant curve from the tip to the shoulder, the blade curving in at the tip and becoming more parallel on the edges, or the blade curving in at the tip and curving back in towards the shoulders. The shoulders can vary from slightly barbed to having a slightly upward angle. The stem is expanding. The base is usually convex, but may vary to slightly concave with rounded basal corners. This point has a random flaking pattern.

Granger and Granger (2013) list four variations of this type. Variant 1 has a broad expanding stem with a concave base and rounded basal corners. Variant 2 has a broad expanding stem with a straight base and rounded basal corners. This variant has moderately barbed shoulders. Variant 3 has a moderately broad expanding stem with a convex bas and rounded basal corner and slightly barbed shoulders. Variant 4 has a narrowed expanding stem with a slightly concave base and rounded basal corners. This variant has slightly barbed shoulders.
