Description of Physical Characteristics and Flaking Pattern:
This is a thin small to medium (.75 to 1.75 inches) triangular stemmed point with an elliptical to flattened cross section.  The blade is slender and may vary from straight, incurvate, or recurvate flaring at the shoulders edge.  Many examples have finely serrated blades.  The shoulders are well defined and may range from horizontal, a downward slope, or slightly barbed.  The rectangular stem is narrow and most commonly straight, but may vary to slightly expanding.  The base is straight.  This point commonly has a high quality of workmanship and has a random flaking pattern.

Additional Comments:

This point is similar to the Alba point.  However, this blade and stem are generally narrower  and the blade edges are primarily straight rather than incurvate or recurvate (Suhm and Krieger, 1954).

Shafer (2006) proposed a Bonham-Alba classification, encompassing specimens dating around A.D. 100 from Central Texas into East Texas.
