published book. This point has been referred to in numerous professional publications and is considered a valid type.
Description of Physical Characteristics and Flaking Pattern:
This is a small to medium side notch. Most points have a flattened cross section; however, the blade may
also be elliptical or rhomboid. The blade is most commonly excurvate, but may also be straight. The blade may also be serrated. The notches are parallel and may range from horizontal to an upward
angle. The stem is expanded,
and the base may range from straight to concave, but the base is wider than
the blade for this variant. This point has a random flaking pattern.
