Perttula is a Anthropologist and a professor at Texas A&M.  He has conducted extensive studies in Texas anthropology and published many professional books.  This point was named in a professional publication, but has limited professional references and needs greater acceptance of this type.  This is considered a provisional type.

Description of Physical Characteristics and Flaking Pattern:
This is a medium triangular expanding stem point with an elliptical cross section.  The blade is excurvate.  Wide notches enter the blade forming shoulders that are an upward angle and an expanding stem.  The stem may vary from straight to slightly convex.  This point has a random flaking pattern.

These points have been referred to as atypical Wilson at the Wilson -Leonard Site where they were found at the same level as Wilson points.  (Pettula, 2004).
