Cook was an influential anthropologist for the Instituto Nacoinal de Antropologia e Historia.  He conducted extensive research in the Basin of Mexico.  This type was defined in his research at Cueva de la Nopalera.

Description of Physical Characteristics and Flaking Pattern:
This is a broad medium triangular basal to corner notch point with an elliptical cross section.  The blade is excurvate with a "needle like" tip.  The shoulders are barbed with a "drooping" appearance and a stem that varies from straight to expanding.  The base is straight.  This point is made using percussion flaking with fine pressure flaking used to shape and sharpen the point forming a random flaking pattern.

Length - 34 to 50 mm, Stem Length - 11 to 19 mm,  Blade Width - 22 to 27 mm,  Basal Stem Width - 16 to 23 mm,  Neck Width - 13 to 21 mm, Notch Width - 7 to 13 mm, Thickness - 5 to 9 mm (***bases on small sample size***)
