Loyd Doty reports:

AYAMPITN (Lanceolate) – are crude bi facially worked projectiles and knives with willow-leaf outline that were found among Early Archaic hunter-gatherer communities of the Peruvian highlands and coasts (1st map below) within the Andean Cultural Region (2nd map below) that date to 11K years before present.  Typical examples are 3 to 6 inches long and there is also a square base variant found at the Quishqui puncu archaeological site.
