Description of Physical Characteristics and Flaking Pattern:
This is a thick medium triangular point with an elliptical cross section.  The blade is excurvate with the blade curving in at the tip and curving back in at the shoulders.  The tip is commonly apiculate.  The shoulders are weak to absent and at an upward angle.  The stem is long and contracting with a convex base and is often poorly defined.   This point has a random flaking pattern.

Total Length - 40 to 104 mm (average 59 mm),  Stem Length - 15 to 33 mm,  Blade Width - 18 to 37 mm (average 28 mm),  Stem Width at Shoulders - 11 to 17 mm,  Thickness - 7 to 15 mm (average 10 mm)

This point is primarily found between San Mateo and Montgomery counties in the central coastal region and ranges of California.  These points tend to be concentrated in the northern regions of this distribution.  These points are found southward into San Diego County with decreasing frequency.
