Description of Physical Characteristics and Flaking Pattern:
This is a narrow large lanceolate with a flattened cross section.  The blade is long and narrow with the tip curving in and the edges becoming parallel.  The straight to slightly concave.  Grinding is present on the hafting region.  This point has a flaking pattern which may vary from parallel oblique to horizontal.

Overstreet reports that this point was originally typed as a Yuma (now Eden) and has also been typed as Allen and Angostura.  Taylor determined that they were a separate type and named then Anderson after the Perry Anderson who extensively surfaced collected the Claypool Site in Washington Colorado and later excavated by the University of Colorado (Gunnerson, 1989).

The point typed by the University of Minnesota as a Eden Lanceolate appears to be the same as this type.  There are many picture of Eden Lanceolate points that are identical to the point pictured by Overstreet.
