Description of Physical Characteristics and Flaking Pattern:
This is a medium triangular side notch point with an elliptical cross section. The blade is primarily excurvate. Shallow U-shaped notches enter the blade forming a shoulder that is at an upward angle. The stem is expanding. The base may range from slightly concave to concave. The basal ears may range from squared to rounded. This point has a random flaking pattern.

Soule for site Men-584 Mendocino County, California, but was re-named by Noel Justice in 2002 to avoid duplication in nomenclature and due to the overuse of the Mendocino name for projectile points found in northern coastal ranges of California (Justice, 2002).
