Michael Spence is a distinguished anthropologist who retired Professor Emeritus from the Department of Anthropology, University of Western Ontario. He conducted extensive research in Mexico and Ontario. This type was identified in his publication on cultures of Mexico.

Description of Physical Characteristics and Flaking Pattern:
This is a medium to large triangular point with a thin elliptical cross section.  The blade ranges from primarily incurvate to straight.  The base is broad and strongly convex with rounded basal corners.  Basal thinning is common on this type.  This point has a random flaking pattern. .  small pentagonal stemmed point with a flattened cross section. 
Size Measurements:

Length - incomplete,  Blade Width - 30 to 31 mm (average 31 mm), Thickness - average 5 mm,  ***Based on small sample size***
