White Rock Quartzite is associated with the White Rock Formation of the Rockville Notch Group of Nova Scotia primarily occurring as two massive beds separated by slate.  Exposures occur southwest of Wolfville and Gaspereau Lake in Kings County, Nova Scotia and White Rock Pond south of Gaspereau Lake.  This is the only formation on southwestern Nova Scotia that contains quartzite.
