Trout Creek Chert / Jasper was originally mapped as belonging to the Manitou Formation (Ptarmigan Chert) but has recently be attributed to the Fremont Formation (Fremont Chert) of Colorado and occurs at the Trout Creek Quarry in Chaffee County, Colorado.
