Tomera Chert is associated with the Tomera Formation of Nevada.  Chert is not abundant and occurs as nodules with outcroppings of the Tomera Formation occurring in in the Diamond Mountains, Carlin-Pinon, and central Pancake ranges, Buck Mountain, and Bald Mountain.
