Sexton's Creek Chert is associated with the Sexton's Creek Limestone Formation of Alexander County, Illinois.  Primary outcroppings occur along Williams Creek and its tributaries and around Brooks Dome in Missouri and along Sexton Creek, Alexander County, Illinois.
