Color:  Rowsell Harbour Quartzite ranges from a white and pink to purple.  White correlates with the lower and upper beds of quartzite and the purple correlates with the mddle bed of quartzite.  The beds are separated by a volcanic member.

Rowsell Harbour Quartzite is associated with the Rowsell Harbour Formation of the Ramah Group of Labrador with exposures occurring on the north side of Rowsell Harbour in northern Labrador.  Exposures also occur on the Ramah group syncline between Nachvak and Saglek fiords and south between Saglek Fiord and Hebron Fiord.
