Ranger Canyon Chert is associated with the Ranger Canyon Formation of Alberta.  Primary exposures occur on the western flank of Mount Ishbel, Sawback Range, Banff National Park, Alberta.  Occurs throughout southern and central Alberta Foothills and Rockies  Equivalent to Fantasque Chert of the Yukon.
