Pocono Siltstone is associated with the Pocono Formation of Pennsylvania and Maryland.  Primary exposures occur in Pocono Pennsylvania and in Bedford, Carbon, Columbia, Dauphin, Fulton, Huntingdon, Lackawanna, Lebanon, Luzerna, Northumberland, Perry, Schuylkill, Somerset, and Wyoming counties, Pennsylvania and Allegany, Garrett, Washington counties, Maryland.
