Distribution Comments:
Pisgah Ridge Chert is associated with the Tehuacana Limestone Member of the Kincaid Formation of Texas occurring as nodules and small seams along Pisgah Ridge discontinuously for about 9 km.  Pisgah Ridge is about 6 km west of Richland, Navarro County, Texas.  The Tehuacana Limestone Member also outcrops along Pisgah Creek, around Lake Tawakoni on the Sabine River, and around Lake Mexia on the upper Navasota River.  Chert outcroppings have not been reported here, but could occur in exposures of the Tehuacana Limestone.
