Mesnard Quartzite is associated with the Algonkian Formation, Chocolay Group, Animikie Series of Michigan.  Primary outcroppings are located an Mount Mesnard, Marquette County, Michigan.  Found throughout the Marquette Range of Michigan and east of Sunday Lake.
