Color:  Los Guilicos Obsidian has two types.  Type A ranges from a gray to a greenish gray and lacks any inclusions.  Type B is a greenish color with numerous phenocyctes.

Los Guilicos Obsidian is associated with the lower member of the Sonoma Volcanics and has an unknown source, but occurs as nodules up to 4 cm on the eastern slopes of Bennett Mountain in the southern part of Annadel State Park and occurs as float in the Sonoma Valley, Buick Meadow, Frey Canyon and Schulz Canyon, Sonoma County, California.  This type is geochemically different from the Annadel Obsidian.

Archaeological Context:
No quarries have been located for this source, but has been found in archeological sites in Sonoma Valley.  Makes up the majority of the obsidian collected from the Oakmont sampling location.
