Kedahda Chert is associate with the Kedahda Formation of the Cache Creek Group of British Columbia and Yukon.  This is one of the most extensive formations occurring as beds with exposures occurring at the south end of Kedahda Lake, Dease Lake, Hall Lake, Mount Farnsworth, Opal Lake, Nakina Lake, Mount O'Keefe, Sentinel Mountain, Tagish Lake, Mount White, the north slope of the French Range, and Thibert Creek.
