Jordan Chert is associated with the Jordan Limestone Member of the Bingham Quartzite Formation of north central Utah.  Primarily found as layers, nodules, and outcroppings on the north slope of West Mountain of Bingham Canyon, Salt Lake County, Utah.  Named for the Old Jordan Lead Mine.
